Now Offering Nervous System Scans in Grapevine, TX

At The Chiro Co in Grapevine, TX we know that stress affects how your body works—especially your spine and nervous system. That’s why the state-of-the-art INSiGHT scanning technologies are at the core of our evaluation process. This is significant on many levels. It enables us to analyze a person’s condition more accurately and communicate findings more effectively. These scans help us see exactly how stress—whether physical, emotional, or biochemical—is impacting your body, so we can design a natural, drug-free plan to help you feel and function at your best.

What Do the INSiGHT Scans Look For?

The INSiGHT Scans are about finding, tracking, and understanding if subluxations are present. And if they are, we need to know two things about them:

    1. How significant or severe (mild, moderate, severe, or intensive)?
    2. Where within the neurospinal system are things primarily located (tracking, targeting)?

Our scans are safe for all ages and stages—even during pregnancy! Many moms experience relief from back pain, headaches, and sleep issues with our care, and the best part? No drugs, no side effects—just your body functioning the way it should.

Why Stress Matters

When stress piles up (think everyday chaos with kids, juggling work, or even aches and pains that won’t go away), it can trigger vertebral subluxations—misalignments in your spine that can change how your nervous system adapts to daily life. It’s like a traffic jam on the information highway, where vital signals can’t flow freely. Our passionate, Grapevine chiropractor, Dr. Jenna Carter, is trained to find and correct these subluxations without drugs, helping your body do what it does best: heal and regulate itself.

In Children:

  • Colic and frequent crying in an infant
  • Excessive tantrums and meltdowns in a toddler or preschool-aged child
  • Motor and speech delays
  • Sensory processing and emotional regulation challenges
  • ADHD and anxiety type challenges later on in school-aged children and teens
  • Listening and learning challenges

  • Inability to handle day to day stress – anxiety, depression, anger, frustration

Meet the State-of-the-Art Neurological Scans

The INSiGHT scanning system was created specifically to measure these stress responses in the spine and nervous system. It’s safe for everyone— including kids and moms-to-be—because it doesn’t use radiation and is registered as a Class II medical device with the FDA.

Our Grapevine office uses three different INSiGHT neurological tools during your examination:

1.) neuroCORE (Surface EMG)

How the scanning is done: Sensors are gently touched to the skin from the lower back to the neck region at regular intervals.

What neuroCORE does:

    • Scans Muscle Activity: It measures the electrical activity of your muscles along the spine, providing data on how your nervous system controls posture and movement.
    • Identifies Imbalances: By analyzing this data, we can spot spinal misalignments, muscle tension, or areas where your body might be compensating.

Why it Matters:

    • Precision in Care: This technology helps us tailor our chiropractic adjustments and treatment plans with high precision, addressing not just symptoms but underlying issues.
    • Objective Health Assessment: Unlike manual assessments, neuroCORE provides quantifiable data, making your progress measurable and your treatment more transparent.
    • Prevention and Wellness: By catching small imbalances early, we can prevent them from developing into more significant issues, promoting overall wellness.
    • Enhanced Patient Understanding: Seeing the data helps you understand your body's needs better, empowering you in your health journey.

2.) neuroTHERMAL

How the scanning is done: The examiner slowly rolls the instrument from the lower back to the base of the skull, recording temperature along the way.

What neuroThermal does:

    • Thermographic Scanning: It uses infrared sensors to detect temperature variations along your spine, creating a thermal map that highlights areas of potential dysfunction or stress in your autonomic nervous system.
    • Assesses Autonomic Function: By measuring how your body regulates temperature, we can see how well your nervous system is managing organ and gland function.

Why it Matters:

    • Early Detection: neuroThermal can catch subtle imbalances before they manifest as pain or visible symptoms, allowing for proactive rather than reactive care.
    • Personalized Care: The data helps us customize your chiropractic adjustments to not just relieve discomfort but also to optimize the function of your nervous system, impacting overall health.
    • Objective Insights: It provides concrete data on your body's stress response, making your health journey transparent. You'll see exactly where issues might lie and how treatments are improving your condition.
    • Holistic Health: Since the autonomic nervous system controls vital functions like digestion, immunity, and circulation, neuroThermal helps us address health holistically, beyond just spinal alignment.

3.) neuroPULSE (HRV)

How the scanning is done: Your middle finger and hand rest on sensors while you sit calmly for approximately 3 minutes.

What neuroPulse Does:

    • Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Analysis: It measures the variation in time between each heartbeat, which reflects the balance between the sympathetic (fight or flight) and parasympathetic (rest and digest) branches of your autonomic nervous system.
    • Stress Assessment: Using heart rate, temperature and skin conductance to calculate HRV, neuroPulse provides insights into your body's stress levels, recovery ability, and overall autonomic nervous system function.

Why it Matters:

    • Health Optimization: HRV is a powerful indicator of your body's resilience, showing how well you adapt to stress. High HRV typically means better health, recovery, and adaptability, while low HRV might indicate stress, fatigue, or illness.
    • Customized Care: With this data, we can tailor treatments to not only address physical issues but also enhance your body's natural stress response, improving overall health outcomes.
    • Preventive Care: neuroPulse helps us detect early signs of stress or imbalance in your body's autonomic functions, allowing for preventive interventions before these manifest as more significant health issues.
    • Well-being: Understanding your HRV helps you make informed decisions about daily activities, sleep, diet, and stress management, leading to a better quality of life.

CORESCORE: Your Personal “Stress-Adaptation” Number

After these three scans, we combine all the data to create a single CORESCORE. It’s basically a snapshot of how efficiently your body is handling stress. A higher score (closer to 100) means your nervous system is adapting well. Over time, we’ll retest to see how your CORESCORE improves with regular chiropractic care—and use that information to fine-tune your care plan.
